Not actually an osprey nest (sorry)

A Bird in the Hand (actually)

While at Jen’s folks, I was sitting on the van step, smoking a joint in the sun when a couple of birds, flitting into and around each like butterflies, flew straight overhead.

One made it, the other slammed into the side of the van and plopped onto the ground next to me. It sat there for about nine minutes (I filmed it) while I kept an eye on it and talked to it.

But there was a large crow eying it up from the bungalow roof and there were at least four cats (Jen and I tend to attract them) using the drive as a transit hub. So I picked the little fella up and got it back to safety.
